This year's Carolina Classic Fair, Oct. 4-13 at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds, will have 10 Special Fun Foods Contests in Yesterday Village, in addition to the dozens of baking and food-preservation contests held in the Education Building. Entries are now being accepted for all contests.
The Culinary and Food Preservation Department contests will include the usual categories for breads, cakes, candies, preserves, pickles and more. There will be 10 Fun Foods contests this year, including such popular returning contests as Uncle Chris' I Love Pimento Cheese, Rock of Ages' cooking-with-wine contest a New this year is the Oodles of Noodles contest sponsored by Village Tavern, the Still There Shine Sauce contest, and the Try Keto contest sponsored by Rehab Medicine of the Carolinas.
