Google has revealed the winners of its Play Store's Best of 2024 awards in India, recognising the top apps and games across various categories. The awards recognise the most innovative, engaging, and impactful apps and games available on the Google Play Store, as well as the talented developers behind them. Google has curated lists of top contenders in specific categories, including "Best for Fun", "Everyday Essentials," and more.
These categories highlight the diverse range of apps and games available on the platform, catering to a wide array of user needs and interests. “On the apps front, this year, we once again saw a diverse range of innovative solutions addressing a variety of needs, including fashion styling, health, expense tracking, and news. Notably, 5 out of 7 winners in the Best of Play 2024 India apps list were developed by Indian companies, underscoring the strength of local innovation,” the company said.
The "Best Games of 2024" category also features similar subcategories, recognizing excellence in various gaming genres and experiences. India leads the AI revolution in mobile apps India has emerged as a global leader in AI-powered mobile app innovation. With 21% of global mobile app downloads in 2023, the country is at the forefront of this technological revolution, as per Sensor Tower's report.
