Good Samaritan Clinic of Morganton is dedicating a bench in honor of the late Robert Ford Dale, a Morganton native and local business owner who gifted the clinic $158,591.95 in his estate. A dedication ceremony will be held Tuesday by the board of directors at the clinic, which is located at 500 East Parker Road, Morganton.
It will begin at 4 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.
"By leaving a legacy through his estate gift, Robert Dale has ensured that the health and well-being of those in need will continue to be supported for generations to come,” said Amy Eades Fisher, executive director of Good Samaritan Clinic. “His compassion today is leaving a lasting gift, empowering our clinic to provide free, quality care to the underserved in our community. We are so appreciative of him for helping us continue in this life-saving mission.
" The Good Samaritan Clinic plans to hold a dedication ceremony Tuesday. Dale, who died in March 2022, was a lifelong Morganton resident and the owner of Dale’s Antiques. Good Samaritan Clinic is one of 10 organizations to receive gifts from Dale’s estate with his instructions to use the money to benefit the people of Burke County.
Good Samaritan Clinic is one of 69 community-based, volunteer-driven free and charitable clinics that belong to a statewide health care network operating independently under the umbrella of the North Carolina Association of Free and Charitable Clinics. Together, the clinics provide low-cost or no-cost health.
