Trisha Goddard presented today's edition of the ITV news programme Good Morning Britain viewers said Richard Madeley had "finally met his match" after a presenting shake-up. Trisha Goddard fronted today's edition of the ITV news programme for the first time. The 66-year-old replaced Kate Garraway who has been anchoring the show alongside Richard this summer.

It is not the first time the two have worked together on television as Richard explained at the start of today's programmed: "Our extremely talented and thoroughly evil production team have unearthed some clips of you and me doing some business together on the telly over a quarter of a century ago." Trisha scolded Richard for his phrasing as she joked: "Don't put it that way. 1998.



" The two fronted another jam-packed episode that included interviews with Emily Craig and Imogen Grant about their Olympic experience. Viewers enjoyed the dynamic between the new broadcasting partnership as Trisha and Richard as their earlier exchange set the tone for the rest of the episode Dan said: "I love how Trisha is talking over Richard as finally he’s met his match!" Xx" Another user commented: "I am loving Trisha presenting GMB! She is really keeping Partridge in check. Love it!" Kate was forced to pull out of episodes of Good Morning Britain earlier this summer when her dad was taken to hospital. She took to Instagram last month to issue a health update.

The broadcaster said: "Hi all - sorry I disappeared from here when my Dad collapsed & rushed to hospital 2 weeks ago while having a holiday with my Mum at my brother’s. It was very scary but am so pleased that he is now stable & even recovering a bit in hospital - we have so much to be grateful for, but are taking it a day at a time. She added: "Huge thanks to the incredible NHS staff for their endless kindness & the heart.

they put into the care of all their patients which has meant so much to my mum & all our family.
