Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley didn't hold back when speaking to guest Olly Murs on the ITV show. The former X Factor star was speaking to Richard and Kate Garraway ahead of his BBC's Who Do You Think You Are? which airs on Thursday night. As their chat kicked off, viewers were treated to a compilation of Olly's hits throughout the years.

When the video was over, Kate made reference to his song Troublemaker as she joked he has to be grown up now because he's a new dad. Olly told the presenters he was excited to one day show his daughter his career from the start as images of his family appeared on-screen. Richard said: "Look at you! You've got a beautiful baby, you've got a beautiful wife.

You look great, you've got a fantastic career, you've got a great back catalogue. You make me sick!" Although Olly found the comment in good jest as he burst out laughing over Richard's remark. While they all chuckled, Olly replied: "I'll take it!" Richard added: "What I mean is, you must feel blessed sometimes.

" The 40-year-old agreed as he highlighted how much has happened in his life over the past two years. Olly married his partner Amelia Tank in 2023 before they welcomed their daughter Madison this April. He also mentioned his long-running career as Olly explained he's celebrating 15 years in the industry.

However, Richard was shocked as he replied: "It's not 15?! I thought that was a misprint in our notes." Agreeing the time has gone extremely fast, Olly replied: "It has been an amazing time. I'm super happy, life's good at the moment.

" During their interview, Kate applauded his commitment to work along with his high energy. She added: "Tonight we see that actually, that spirit goes right back through the genes." Olly revealed that during his episode of Who Do You Think You Are? he discovered his ancestors were circus performers.

He said: "I found out that Veronica, my great grandmother was a trapeze artist, a full-time trapeze artist. In that clip, she was five months pregnant with my grandad. "She was based in Latvia and they would travel around the Baltic seas, different countries to Germany and Finland, they were performing for troops, people at war and they were just entertainers.

"There was me thinking that I was the only Murs that had their name in lights and Murs was already a thing!" Who Do You Think You Are? airs on BBC One from 9pm on Thursday 19th September. Good Morning Britain continues on weekdays on ITV from 6am..
