GOAT , a premier global platform for contemporary and iconic fashion, continues its foray into the art world as Art Basel ’s official Global Host Uniform Partner. For the 2024 Miami Beach show, GOAT unveils its second host uniform concept, featuring exclusive artwork by Los Angeles-based ceramics artist Diana Yesenia Alvarado. Alvarado’s designs draw heavily from her Mexican heritage and childhood memories of Los Angeles.
Her uniform artwork incorporates mythological forms, such as feline-inspired creatures, evoking a sense of quiet strength and curiosity. The designs strike a balance between subtlety and playfulness, reflecting Alvarado’s dedication to fostering meaningful connections through her creative process. Complementing the uniforms, a tote bag showcases an airbrushed, abstract color study, offering a textured and interpretive glimpse into her artistic approach.
Alvarado views the project as a transformative moment in her career. “Creating artwork for this project allowed me to bring my visual language into a more immediate medium,” she shared. It stands as a natural extension of her practice, opening exciting new paths for creative exploration.
The new uniforms will debut at Art Basel Miami Beach from December 6 to December 8 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. They will also feature at future Art Basel events in Hong Kong , Basel and Paris in 2025..
