Thursday, November 14, 2024 Susegado, India’s first airport microbrewery, debuts at Goa’s Manohar International Airport, offering craft beers and a taste of authentic Goan culture. Goa’s Manohar International Airport has become home to India’s first airport microbrewery, Susegado, offering a taste of local Goan culture and hospitality to travelers. The microbrewery takes its name from “Susegad,” a popular Goan word symbolizing relaxation and contentment.
This new venture, a collaboration between Rising Tide Beverages, Lane Nine Hospitality, and Radiance (a subsidiary of IRHPL), redefines the airport dining experience by creating a welcoming space where visitors can start their Goan journey as soon as they land. Spanning over 5,000 square feet, Susegado features an interior that merges classic Goan home aesthetics with the elegance of a jazz bar, providing a unique ambiance for guests. The venue aims to create a laid-back environment where tourists and locals alike can unwind, sampling freshly brewed beers that reflect the flavors and spirit of Goa’s vibrant heritage.
The core of Susegado’s appeal lies in its range of craft beers, each brewed to showcase distinctive Goan ingredients. Signature options include Poder’s Pilsner, made with locally sourced Goan bread; Kokum Gose, a tangy beer infused with kokum extract; and a classic English Ale, catering to both seasoned beer enthusiasts and those new to craft brewing. The beer selection is complemented by a menu.
