Today, we experienced river rafting in Valpoi, Sattari—a refreshing and rejuvenating activity. It’s a perfect adventure for everyone, whether visiting with friends or family, offering a deeper understanding of what Goa truly represents. Beyond our beautiful coastline, we have a rich ecological life, expansive hinterlands, adventure sports, wellness activities, and more.

This complements the Goan spirit of “Atithi Devo Bhava,” where we extend our warmest hospitality. Come and explore a new side of tourism—Goa Beyond Beaches, the hinterlands, innovative tourism services, and the thrill of river rafting” The event served as a showcase for Goa’s lesser-known regions, emphasizing the importance of regenerative tourism practices. These practices aim to ensure that tourism activities have a positive impact on the local environment, economy, and communities.

By engaging in and promoting activities like river rafting, nature trails, and cultural experiences, the government is actively working to preserve the ecological balance and cultural heritage of the region. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Department of Tourism to promote Goa as a destination where nature, culture, and adventure converge. By inviting tourists to explore the hidden treasures of its hinterlands, Goa is positioned as a holistic travel destination.

The focus on sustainable practices highlights the region’s commitment to maintaining its natural and cultural assets, ensuring a lasting and beneficial impact for future generations..
