Friday, November 8, 2024 Goa tourism is thriving, with new charter flights from Russia, London, and Central Asia fueling a rise in international visitors to India’s coastal paradise. The Goa Tourism Department reports a notable rise in international tourists visiting the state, with travelers now arriving from a broader range of countries. In a recent media release, the department highlighted that new charter flights from major global hubs—such as Moscow and Ekaterinburg in Russia, London, and regions in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan—are boosting foreign arrivals.

A charter flight from Poland is expected to land in Goa on November 8, adding to the influx of international visitors. The department’s spokesperson acknowledged that the COVID-19 pandemic severely disrupted global tourism, causing a downturn in foreign visitor numbers. However, Goa’s international tourism has shown a steady recovery.



In 2023, the state welcomed over 8 million domestic tourists, reflecting its continued appeal among Indian travelers as well..
