A hugely popular Glasgow and fashion brand has opened its doors to its new shop in the south of the city. Forty Clothing are delighted to have launched at Silverburn, with the new store joining their existing locations at Royal Exchange Square and The Fort. The brand, know for their experimental designs, were founded by fashion industry stalwart Gordon Harry Miller who was inspired by his young son’s monster face drawing.
Since then they've grown into one of the UK's top streetwear brands. Taking to Instagram, the Silverburn team welcomed the firm, posting: "Say hello to , the independent Glasgow streetwear brand with an edge. Now open at Silverburn! Find them opposite JD Sports.
" Quitting his executive-level job at designer store Cruise and launching a pop-up in the basement of a hairdressers, Harry has been delighted to see the brand grow. Posting about the new opening, Harry and the team wrote: "Our Silverburn store is officially open. Stop by for some quality chat and even better clobber.
" Speaking to Glasgow Live recently, Harry said: "We do things differently at Forty, we always have," Harry continued. "We love what we do and we love that we get to do it for a living." Having originally opened their first store in the St Enoch Centre, they eventually outgrew it there and moved into a stand-alone shop on Royal Exchange Square in September 2016, since then they've expanded their web store, and opened dedicated stores at both the Fort and Silverburn.
