A care home in Govan has been given a glowing review following an inspection. Florence House Care Home was given a "very good" rating by the Care Inspectorate after a recent visit. The home, which is operated by Oakminster Healthcare, was given a five out of six rating in all five categories.

The categories looked at the quality of person-centred care, the standard of leadership, team operations, the physical setting, and care planning . It also praised the importance placed on residents' and relatives' voices being heard in care planning meetings.



A group of residents said they felt supported by a stable and consistent workforce and enjoyed the range of activities. Steven Kitson, a 54-year-old resident at Florence House Care Home, said: "I’m not at all shocked the home scored such a great grade. "It deserves the recognition and so do the staff.

"The team really go out their way to make me feel at home." Nick Mclean, care home manager at Florence House Care Home, said: "We are thrilled with the findings from the report as we strive continuously to ensure our residents feel at home and supported by our staff. "It’s great to see our efforts recognised.

"Person-centred care is at the heart of Florence House and this report is a testament to the dedication of our team who go above.
