” Kassab said Pollina was loved by many and left an “indelible mark on her heart”. “I will never be able to move past this, from life to death he was my person, he will always be my forever,” she said. Pollina’s best friend Youssef Soueid described the teenager as a “beautiful boy” who wouldn’t hurt a fly.

“I know (he’s) in a better place and he’s up there looking down on me and I’m so grateful for him for (and) what he has done for me,” he said. Pollina migrated to Australia from Italy with his family 10 years ago. He worked as a concrete pumper, with his former colleagues telling 7NEWS he loved his job.

CCTV footage shows two occupants of the BMW running away, with a 16-year-old boy believed to have been a passenger later arrested and taken into custody for questioning. He was released pending further inquiries while the driver remains on the run.
