Paige DeSorbo , one half of the dynamic duo behind the hit podcast Giggly Squad , has revealed she suffered a panic attack during a live show. Speaking on a recent episode of the podcast, which is currently on a live tour , DeSorbo explained that came right before she took to the stage for a live show. Speaking openly, she told listeners that it was her first-ever panic attack.
She shared: “I had my first real legit panic attack, the crazy thing about anxiety is that you don't know what it's about." Explaining in the September 24 episode of Giggly Squad, she confessed the attack had left her feeling ‘frustrated’. She added: “I was about to go onstage in front of 3,000 people, so you can be like, 'Oh yeah, it's stage fright,' except that I've done that 50 times before.
“I've been on reality TV for six years, you can’t say anything to me that's going to rattle me at this point, I was part frustrated because I was like, 'What is going on what my body?'" The actress also told listeners that she had “general anxiety” before but “never really felt panic attacks the way that people would describe them” and that she has never needed to take medicine for it before. She continued: "I was always like, 'I'm stronger than that. This is all in my head.
I'm strong enough to tell myself to snap out of it,' and I just wasn't. Admitting that to yourself is part of the battle." The star has also revealed that she took a beta blocker to help her deal with the physical symptom.
