So what did you have for breakfast this morning? A glass of juice, fruit, a scrambled egg, toast and coffee or did you grab a toaster pastry as you ran out the door? It's that kind of meal, hearty, or a quick bite that barely qualifies, if you have anything at all. We've all heard ad infinitum that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, fuels your tank, brings you energy and focus, sets you up for the day. For breakfast eaters and those who aren't so much (me) there are options galore, including cereals, both hot and cold, bagels, of course eggs and bacon, breakfast sandwiches, tacos, burritos and fruits.

One of the most popular items is yogurt mixed with berries, nuts, seeds or mixed in with cereals like granola. Smoothies are also an option. ADVERTISEMENT Pizza too has taken its place in the line-up.

Why, when you can have pretty much the same thing at home? Because it gives you a little break, you don't have to cook or do the clean up, plus you have the chance to try new innovative offerings. Not to mention it's cheaper than going out for lunch or dinner. Interesting, it's also one of the busiest times for local restaurants.
