The brand – popular amongst football fans in particular – has gained a hilarious reputation for its wearers trying to show off the renowned badge on the arm of their tops in photos wherever possible. It seems one chap modelling for the government’s official web page is no different either, as he managed to cheekily sneak the badge in on a snap of him showing what an acceptable passport photo looks like.

The subsection of the government’s website is dedicated to demonstrating to the public what their portrait shots should look like. One eagle eyed social media user spotted the badge. Criteria are set out on the page alongside images of models posing both correctly and incorrectly for photos.

An image of one of the young models shows him demonstrating how the photograph’s background should remain plain and light-coloured, without any texture or objects in the background. The model – who retains a neutral facial expression expected of passport snaps – sports a plain black jumper and is seen from the chest up. Upon closer inspection though, one can make out the recognisable rectangular fabric of the Stone Island badge on the model’s arm, complete with the yellow compass design of the company’s logo.

The badge was spotted by one Brit yesterday, who shared it to social media uncaptioned, but with the badge circled to point it out to other users. The post received over 11,000 likes and more than 35 comments from social media users left in stitches by the discovery. One user said: “I’ve just had to go to the actual site to check you weren’t doctoring the piccies.

” Another wrote: “Woah careful we got a bad boy alert.” A third replied: “Sensational work there – 10/10.” Another commented: “Fake.

If it was real, his arm would be angled towards the camera.” A fifth replied: “It’s no coincidence, official government gear now.” Tags Stone Isalnd Share Facebook Twitter Pinterest WhatsApp Linkedin Previous article Royal Botanic Garden’s digitised collection reaches one million specimens Next article Edinburgh locals mark one year of infamous “Leith Walk Hole” in pavement that has remained unrepaired – by throwing a birthday party for it Related Stories News by Email Email Top Stories Business News Scottish News Top Sports News Sponsored post customers By continuing, you accept the privacy policy About Deadline News Suite 6, Bonnington Bond, 2 Anderson Place, Edinburgh EH6 5NP Tel: 0131 516 3433 Useful Links Agency Terms and Conditions Write for us – guest posting opportunities on Deadline News and more Sponsored Posts T&C News Coverage Photography Video Services Student placement programme Contact Us Change privacy settings Privacy settings history Revoke consents Social Facebook Linkedin Twitter Youtube.
