Monday, September 16, 2024 This week, a group of six prominent German tour operators is discovering Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, courtesy of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland. These operators play a pivotal role in bringing German travelers to Ireland each year, making them key partners for Tourism Ireland. The purpose of their visit is to introduce them to the exceptional tourism experiences Ireland has to offer, especially as this is an ideal time to encourage them to include new attractions and activities in their 2025 tour packages and beyond.

Their exciting itinerary features a wide range of activities, from participating in Experience Gaelic Games and cycling with Ballymahon Greenway Cycles to a hands-on cooking session at Cloughan Farm & Cookery School and a visit to The Shed Distillery. The group has also been treated to a boat tour and an exploration of Clough Oughter Castle with Cavan Adventure Centre, alongside visits to the Maria Edgeworth Centre and Tullamore D.E.
