Geordie Shore's upcoming season could be back on our screens in the New Year, according to one cast member. During a Q&A with her fans on Instagram , Marnie Simpson revealed the new series will be returning in a few months. A fan asked: "When will the next series of Geordie Shore be out?," to which she responded: "I think it will be January.

" The upcoming instalment was filmed earlier this year in Thailand with the Geordie gang flying for a luxurious getaway. Marnie Simpson, Holly Hagan, Sophie Kasaei, Chloe Ferry, Chantelle Connelly and Abbie Holborn are flying the flags for the ladies and are all returning for the next season. Also coming back for more Geordie magic are James Tindale, Kyle Christie, Nathan Henry, Ricci Guarnaccio and Jay Gardner.

It's also been heavily rumoured that OG Scott Timlin could be coming back after several years away from the show. A source previously told The Sun: "The Geordie cast are jetting off to Thailand in the coming days to film the show's biggest overseas cast trip ever. "They're blowing the budget on this big Asian jaunt to kick off the new series, and it's going to look gorgeous on camera as well as creating the perfect sunshine backdrop for lots of drama.

"Bosses really wanted to kick off the new series with a bang as there have been several big high profile departures with Marnie, Casey, Aaron, and of course, Charlotte leaving. "But the show is still a massive priority for MTV - especially globally where it's huge on paramount plus - so they are still investing big money into it." Charlotte Crosby sensationally quit following the last series after a huge spat with Marnie about high-chairs.

The cast, along with their spouses and children were all living together under one roof in a villa, but things reached boiling point when things were left in a state and not cleaned up. After exchanging harsh words with her former pal, Charlotte packed her bags and left with her family in tow. Despite continuing to film until the end of the series, Charlotte vowed not to return for the next instalment and decided she wanted to put her family first.

Marnie also said after filming had wrapped that she wouldn't be coming back but it appears she had a change of heart. Geordie Shore is expected to return in January on Paramount+ and MTV although an official release date hasn't been confirmed..
