In a recent guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Eigenmann was asked about the two actresses.
“Naging kayo ba ni (Were you in a relationship with) Heart Evangelista?” began Boy Abunda. “Everybody thought but honestly, no, we were not together. We were just really, really good friends,” responded the actor.
Eigenmann explained that he chose to prioritize his career when he and Evangelista got paired up. “For me, it was the start of my career when we were paired together and I was really focused on that. Maybe I focused too much on it that I was kind of not considering it at the time kasi gusto ko trabaho (I wanted work),” he said.
Meanwhile, when asked if he’s willing to work with his real ex-lover, Abellana, Eigenmann affirmed, “Yes, I would,” as he went on to explain that they are in a better state now. “I think, now in our lives, a lot has happened to each of us separately and that’s when maturity and growth come in and it’s all in the past. We’re professionals.
We did this together for a long time before; why can’t we do it now?” Eige.
