Ruth Jones, a household name thanks to her roles in Gavin and Stacey , Stella, and Little Britain, has left fans amazed with her remarkable weight loss journey. Rather than following fad diets, Ruth opted for a more sensible approach, focusing on managing her portion sizes. By keeping an eye on her caloric intake and ensuring she consumed fewer calories than she burned off daily, Ruth achieved her weight loss goals.

She proudly stated: "It's taken me 22 months to lose four and a half stone. Although I have done loads of diets in my time I have never done it the old-fashioned way - taking in less calories than I was using," reports the Mirror . Ruth adhered to a strict daily calorie intake of 1,250 to 1,500, lower than the recommended 2,000 calories for women, which contributed to her successful weight loss.

Her approach focused on gradual, long-term lifestyle changes rather than rapid solutions. She cautioned against diets that promise unrealistic results, such as losing a stone in just one week, and instead .
