Gardaí are continuing to question a man following the death of an American national at a luxury hotel in Laois earlier this week. The US citizen, who is in his 60s was found dead at Ballyfin Demesne, a five star hotel in Co. Laois on Tuesday night.
It is understood that the man suffered a sustained assault. Gardaí arrested a man in his 30s who was known to the victim. He has to either be charged or released from Garda custody today.
