Game of Thrones prequel A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is bolstering its cast with seven new additions ahead of its premiere next year. As reported by Deadline , the adaptation of author George R.R.
Martin’s The Hedge Knight series has added seven faces to its lineup of actors. That includes Edward Ashley (The King) as Ser Steffon Fossoway, Henry Ashton (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder) as Daeron Targaryen, Youssef Kerkour (Napoleon) as Steely Pate, Daniel Monks (Dead Hot) Ser Manfred Dondarrion, Shaun Thomas (Ladhood) as Raymun Fossoway, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Avengers: Infinity War) as Plummer, and Danny Webb (Alien 3) Ser Arlan of Pennytree. In April, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms announced that former Rugby player Peter Claffey and The Hunger Games’ Dexter Sol Ansell will play its leads, Duncan and Egg .
The long wait to see how the six-episode show will adapt the events of The Hedge Knight finally resulted in a brief teaser trailer that arrived just last week. While the video doesn’t reveal too much about its plot, Warner Bros. Discovery has released an official description for the project.
“Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne,” the summary says, “and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.” Elsewhere in the world of Westeros, another Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, just wrapped up its second season last Sunday. We felt it was a strong-but-slow continuation for the Targaryen-centered show and gave it a 7/10 in our review .
Although Kit Harington’s Jon Snow spinoff has found itself frozen in time , we at least know that The Batman scribe Mattson Tomlin is working on a project focused on Aegon’s Conquest . The 10,000 Ships prequel is also still in the works, as is the 9 Voyages series, which is now an animated show . A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms comes to Max sometime in late 2025 .
