There's no shortage of foot traffic at Thomson Farms Cider and Winery this afternoon as dozens have travelled to the north-end estate for this year's Homegrown Farm Day. Some warm sunshine was a welcome sight as families enjoyed a variety of activities, including live music, a barbecue, tractor rides, vendors, sweet treats, and the always popular corn cannon. Entomica Insectarium was also on-site to provide some fun and educational demonstrations for the kids.
A trio of local bands entertained listeners throughout the afternoon, including Greg Maclachlan and Friends, The Hustle Brothers and Bookclub. Thomson Farms' exclusive cider, wine, pies, pretzels, and snacks were on-hand as usual. Guests enjoyed refreshments on the patio and inside the Wine Barn.
The event runs until 5 p.m. Tickets are $10/person (infants two and under are free).
