Today, women account for 40% of global whisky consumers, and Pesqueira’s innovative approach to flavor profiles and mixology is capturing this growing market segment. Destilerías Ovalle is successfully connecting Galicia’s traditions with a global audience, appealing to both seasoned connoisseurs and new enthusiasts alike. A project with a galician soul At the Sanxenxo event, Destilerías Ovalle unveiled the “Evolution Cask Collection,” a series of limited editions featuring the first spanish single malt whisky aged in barrels from Bodegas Pazo de Señoráns.
Personalized by galician artist Rafa Prieto, these bottles celebrate the artistry and culture of Galicia. The collection includes three distinct expressions: Ovalle Gold, aged in Spanish white wine barrels; Ovalle Ruby, in red wine barrels; and Ovalle Private, featuring barrels selected by expert winemakers. Guests at the event enjoyed exclusive tastings of Ovalle Ruby and Ovalle Gold, paired with gourmet tapas that highlighted the unique flavors of these whiskies.
The evening was enhanced by live music from saxophonist Saxygroove, creating the perfect atmosphere for exploring the latest trends in whisky.
