Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems and his colleague, Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema make Obama’s summer playlist. New Telegraph gathered that the former United States President, Barrack Obama has released his annual summer playlist which featured the duo of Nigerian music stars, Tems and Rema, as well as South African singer, Tyla. The former American leader picked Tems’ ‘Love Me Jeje’, Rema’s ‘Yayo’, and Tyla’s ‘Jump’ featuring Gunna and Skillibeng as his favourite African songs of the summer.

Nigerian-American country music star Shaboozey’s ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ is number one on Obama’s list. Sharing the playlist via X on Monday, Obama wrote, “With summer winding down, I wanted to share some songs that I’ve been listening to lately “And it wouldn’t be my playlist if it didn’t include an eclectic mix. I hope you find something new to listen to!” The playlist featured songs from various artists across different genres and continents.
