It is highly noteworthy that the iconic monument of the French Capital – the Eiffel Tower has been attracting a lot more tourists due to the Olympics giving it a recent touch-up with its prestigious rings.

A full moon was witnessed in Paris on Sunday and what caught the eyes of the localites was the moon perfectly positioned in the middle of the Olympic rings of the Eiffel Tower as it turned out to be a rare sight and indeed a beautiful evening for the city of love. Those who were nearby quickly got their cameras out and captured the rare occasion, posting pictures of it on social media.

The Eiffel Tower lights up during the night and so do the Olympic rings added on to it. With the moon making its way into the centre, it was indeed a sight to behold for the tourists and the city residents as well. Even the Olympics, on their social media handle, shared the rare event by posting a video of the same.

Meanwhile, several professional photographers also took the opportunity to click the full moon with the iconic rings. The netizens are totally in awe of the pictures as they laud the photographers for perfectly timing the event and clicking it and for their skills which brought a breathtaking result. Opening ceremony on July 26 It all now awaits for the start of the Paris Games which will officially commence with the opening ceremony taking place on July 26.

It will surely be a groundbreaking affair as the ceremony is to take place outside a stadium for the very first time. The venue for the ceremony will be the Seine River where a one-of-its-kind event is planned. In the heart of Paris, the athletes will take part in the ceremony along the city river.

There will be free access at several points on the banks of the Seine that will also allow fans to watch the event without tickets on the Upper Pier. For the bottom access, tickets will be required. The traditional parade of the athletes will take place in boats sailing on the river, rather than the foot parade on the tracks of a stadium, as seen in the previous editions’ opening ceremonies.

Around 100 boats are said to carry an estimated 10,500 athletes along the Seine. The boats will pass through the iconic Parisian landmarks..
