Vadodara: M S University’s Faculty of Technology and Engineering ( FTE ) on Friday witnessed a ruckus after nearly 200 students gathered on the Kala Bhavan campus raising slogans and demanding that re-assessment results be declared immediately. The protesting students alleged that the faculty had not declared the results even after 60 days of the re-assessment. “Students are anxiously waiting for results of the reassessment for which they had applied more than 60 days ago.

Internal exams of the forthcoming semester have begun but faculty officials have not bothered to declare results of the re-assessment, hampering the careers of students,” said Parth Pandya, a student leader. “Students waiting for the results are being shown as detained and hence not even being provided accommodation in the halls of residence (hostel),” said Pandya. “All faculties, except ours have declared the re-assessment results,” said another student leader.

Professor Dhanesh Patel, dean of the faculty, later told mediapersons that the results will be declared soon. “There are just a couple of students whose re-assessment results are pending and we will declare the results at the earliest,” he said. Student leaders, however, have threatened to launch a bigger agitation if results are not declared by Friday night.
