If you haven't seen From , you're missing out on one of the greatest horror series ever made. The unwilling residents must find a way out while also surviving the threats of the surrounding forest – including the creatures that come out when the sun goes down. Harold Perrineau, also known as his role of Michael Dawson on the TV drama Lost , plays Sheriff Boyd Stevens in From . In an interview with 9Entertainment, the actor spoke about what to expect in Season 3 and why one scene in particular will completely blow away everything we thought we knew about the show.

"We pick up in Season 3 right after a huge cliffhanger...

and then, the audience gets stabbed in the heart by the end of episode one. That's what it feels like," he said. Gulp.

"It's like, 'Are you kidding? Is that what you're going to do?' That's what fans will feel like the whole season through." "Now the audience has the hope because they saw Tabitha get out," he continued, before laughing: "But good luck with all of that.

"I hope the hope lasts for a long time!" Boyd has been the town's hope from the beginning, but Perrineau teases that that could fall apart – fast. "After coming out of Season 2, Boyd was questioning himself. Now a lot more people are questioning him while the whole town is testing him," he continued.

"It makes for lots of drama. He has to hold his place down, but understandably people are thinking, 'You might not know what the hell you're doing.'" "I knew Jack and Jeff really knew how to handle characters stuck in fantastic places – just like Lost . They know how to handle that stuff," Perrineau added. But when it comes to theories about why on earth everyone is trapped in the horrifying town, Perrineau believes Boyd is perhaps just as clueless as the rest of us.

"I haven't played him like he has a theory," he said. "I play him like someone who is guessing a lot. I don't think he does – every time he does, it gets blown up, so I don't think he does.

When asked how he'd cope in the horrifying world of From , the father-of-three added: "If I was thrust into the world – after I stopped crying, I might be able to do something. But I'd be crying for a long time.

"My hope is that – something about having my kids, it forms a lot of Boyd. I would go through the seven gates of hell to protect [my] kids. I'd hope that after I stopped crying I would actually still be able to do that.
