Meg Alabi the CEO of Alabi Couture, a fashion brand based in Surulere, Lagos, has always had a flair for the craft. Born and raised in Lagos, she graduated from Delta State University with a degree in Mass Communication. However, it was her modeling career in the late ’90s that introduced her to the world of fashion.

She began her modeling journey working with various brands in Lagos, Ghana, Togo, New York, and the UK. Her exposure to different styles, cultures, and trends during these travels nurtured her love for fashion. She admits that her entry into the industry happened unexpectedly.



“I’ve always been fashion-inclined, but my love for fashion truly grew over time. I actually stumbled into it,” she revealed. According to Meg, her journey into fashion began with a photoshoot arranged by her aunt, Sefinatu Mohammed.

“My aunt owned a shop at Federal Palace. One day, she asked me to join a photoshoot, and that moment sparked my interest in fashion,” she recalled. From that day, Meg’s passion for fashion took root, and she hasn’t looked back.

Her experiences on the runway gave her a deep understanding of fashion and style, which she now channels into her business. Today, Alabi Couture is known for its bespoke outfits and dedication to quality service. She takes pride in the unique qualities that set her brand apart.
