Allan Hancock College is gearing up for the return of the “Frightmare Forest” haunted maze, planning to scare and delight the community once again. After a successful campaign last fall, the men’s basketball program is excited to bring back this thrilling Halloween event. Located at Hancock’s basketball and softball complex, the three-acre haunted maze sits adjacent to the college’s vineyard at 800 South College Dr.
in Santa Maria. Brave maze runners will navigate an eerie labyrinth filled with tricks and spooky surprises, all while supporting the men’s basketball program as a fundraiser. “We’re excited to bring Frightmare Forest back again this year,” said coach Tyson Aye.
“We had a great turnout last year from the community and we’re happy to get back to building a tradition where kids of all ages, their friends, and their families can come to experience a good old-fashioned scare.” Frightmare Forest will be open from 7-10 p.m.
on Oct. 24-26, and Oct. 31.
Attendees are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to enhance the festive atmosphere. Tickets for the maze are priced at $15 per person and can be purchased on-site or online at ahcbulldogs.com/ticketing .
Free parking and the entrance to the maze are available at the baseball and softball complex. For more information or to inquire about group rates for parties of 10 or more, interested individuals can contact Aye at tyson.aye@hancockcollege.
