The Rock Island Boxing Club has teamed with Whitehall Entertainment to bring “Friday Night Fights: Las Vegas Style” to the Quad-Cities. The event will showcase the best local boxing talent in a Las Vegas-inspired atmosphere, with special appearances by Quad-Cities boxing legend Michael Nunn and Olympic track star Courtney Lindsey. Rock Island's Courtney Lindsey runs the anchor leg on the U.

S. 400-meter relay during heat-round action at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Saint-Denis, France, on Aug. 8.



The event will be held in the great hall of Davenport’s RiverCenter on Friday. Doors open at 7 p.m.

“We’re excited to bring this level of boxing entertainment to our community,” said Ramsey Vesey, President of the Rock Island Boxing Club. “’Friday Night Fights’ will not only showcase our local talent but also inspire the next generation of boxers in the Quad-Cities area.” Whitney Joyner, CED of Whitehall Entertainment said partnering with the Rock Island Boxing Club “allows us to create an unforgettable experience that combines top-notch boxing with the allure of Las Vegas.

” 19-year-old Michael Nunn December 12, 1982. There will be multiple bouts featuring top local boxers, and a meet-and-greet with former world boxing champion Michael Nunn. There will be a guest appearance by Olympic track start Courtney Lindsey.
