Friday is the deadline to purchase tickets to the 4th Annual “Salute to First Responders” 5:30-10PM Aug. 23 at Naggiar Vineyards in south Nevada County. All proceeds support local law enforcement and fire protection agencies.
The fundraiser is sponsored by the Nevada County Law Enforcement and Fire Protection Council, a nonprofit that has donated more than $1.2 million in equipment and training to first responders since its inception in 1999. There will be open seating on the party patio overlooking the beautiful lake at the Naggiar Vineyards tasting room, 18261 Rosemary Lane, Grass Valley.
A catered BBQ dinner will be served by Bill’s Chuckwagon and no-host wine, beer and soft drinks will be for sale. Guests will dance under the stars to tunes by local DJ Rico Stephenson. Exciting live and silent auctions will overflow with lavish prizes.
The August 23 “Salute to First Responders” is a casual, informal evening. Picnic attire and dancing shoes are encouraged. Tickets are $100.

Unless otherwise occupied fighting fires, saving lives, or performing other heroics, dozens of Nevada County law enforcement officers and firefighters attend the “Salute to First Responders” each year. Everyone who wants to show their support is encouraged to enjoy a fun-filled night and give our local first responders an enthusiastic, personal “Thank You!”.
