Pune: Two employees of different private firms lost Rs 22 lakh in separate online share trading frauds between March and Sept in Pimpri Chinchwad . Separate complaints have been registered with the Pimpri and Hinjewadi police on Sunday. An officer from the Pimpri police said a 33-year-old employee of a private company from Pimpri lost Rs 18.
44 lakh to the crooks in the fraud between March and May this year. Victim of the fraud stated in his complaint that the crooks contacted him through a social media and offered him good returns on his investments. "The victim transferred money to different bank account numbers provided to him and ended up losing it," the officer said.
An officer from the Hinjewadi police said, a 41-year-old resident of Mhalunge lost Rs 3 lakh between Aug and Sept in similar manner. TNN.
