The fourth annual Gibson Gala is coming up soon, and this year’s event promises to be a mysterious evening of fun and fundraising. This year’s will take place at the Yacht Club on Saturday, Oct. 12.

The festivities begin at 7 o’clock and will go well into the night. Kelowna Yacht Club will once again be the scene of the Gibson Custom Homes event, and this year’s theme is masquerade. Guests will be hiding their identities while raising plenty of money for Habitat for Humanity Okanagan.

“It’s always a theme, and everyone loves a theme,” Gibson Custom Homes’ Naleesa Gonsalves says. “We’ve done 1920s and to wearing all black, and people show up in all of these themes. People love it.

” Last year’s Gibson Gala raised $24,000, and nearly $50,000 has been donated to Habitat for Humanity over the event’s three-year history. “The reason we support Habitat for Humanity Okanagan is we are lucky enough to build custom homes in the Okanagan and our focus has mostly been luxury custom homes,” Gonsalves says. “So this is our way of giving back to the community in regards to providing those more affordable housing solutions, or at least supporting Habitat for Humanity.

That way, we’re in the community and able to help people looking for large custom homes or people looking for more affordable housing.” DJ Invizible will provide the tunes during the Gibson Gala, and the masquerading guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails while bidding on silent auc.
