Monday, September 9, 2024 Four Seasons invites runners, walkers, cyclists, and spectators to come together for the annual Terry Fox Run at Wilket Creek Park, North York. Chairman and Founder Isadore Sharp, along with hundreds of Four Seasons corporate and hotel employees, will participate in this meaningful event, honoring Terry Fox’s legacy while raising vital funds for cancer research. Supporting Cancer Research Through Charity Initiatives Four Seasons remains dedicated to advancing cancer research through charity runs and global initiatives, a commitment that has endured since Terry Fox’s inspiring Marathon of Hope 44 years ago.

Celebrating Terry’s Dream In Toronto, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto and the corporate head office coordinate the largest Terry Fox Run site in Canada at Wilket Creek Park, located at Leslie Street and Eglinton Avenue. On Sunday, September 15, 2024, thousands are expected to participate in the 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km routes by running, walking, riding, or skating. Four Seasons employees and their families will volunteer to assist with registration, serve food, and manage the children’s area.



Since 1981, more than CAD 13 million has been raised at this site, with every dollar going directly to the Terry Fox Foundation. Last year’s event set a record by raising CAD 677,351, supporting critical cancer research initiatives, including precision oncology, genetic research into hereditary cancers, and studies on leukemia and brain cancers. As Terry Fox said in 1980, “If you have given a dollar, you are part of the Marathon of Hope.

” Event Details: Terry Fox Run at Wilket Creek Park On Sunday, September 15, 2024, thousands are expected to join the event, with routes of 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km for participants to run, walk, ride, or skate. Four Seasons staff and their families will volunteer to support runners, serve refreshments, and oversee the children’s area. The event will begin at 8:20 am with opening ceremonies led by award-winning Canadian media personality Gurdeep Ahluwalia.

Fitness experts Jamie Bell and Hilary Mallinger will lead the warm-up session before the race starts at 9:05 am EST. Special guest Owen Brady, a Terry Team member and childhood cancer survivor, will also attend. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma at 15, Owen’s remarkable story of resilience inspires many.

Entertainment will be provided by local band Shoemaker Levee, along with a special performance of the Canadian anthem by Toronto-born singer-songwriter Andrea Ramolo. The event features a complimentary BBQ, children’s activities, and parking shuttles.
