Four men were charged in the killing of star , Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced Monday. Wactor was shot and killed while walking to his car after a bartending shift on May 25 in downtown Los Angeles. He was 37.

The actor played Brando Corbin on from 2020 to 2022. He appeared in 164 episodes of the long-running ABC soap opera. The four suspects — 18-year-old Robert Barceleau, 18-year-old Leonel Gutierrez, 18-year-old Sergio Estrada and 22-year-old Frank Olano — were arrested Thursday.



Gascón announced their charges today. Per reports in May, Wactor confronted the suspects when he found them allegedly trying to steal the catalytic converter from a vehicle. Barceleau was charged with murder (in a special circumstance allegation of killing in the commission of a robbery), attempted robbery and grand theft.

If convicted, the charge could come with the potential for life in prison and he is currently being held without bail. Estrada was also charged with murder — this time without the allegation circumstance — attempted robbery and grand theft. Gutierrez was charged with attempted robbery and grand theft by embezzlement.

Olano was charged with being an accessory after the fact to the killing, receiving stolen property. All suspects’ charges included allegations that they were armed with a firearm. “I want to thank the LAPD for their work and partnership throughout the investigation and for their continued efforts to keep Angelenos safe and to bring justice to victims of violence,” L.
