The popular Channel 4 show, which sees four B&B owners go head-to-head to determine the best establishment, aired another gripping episode on Saturday afternoon (August 10). After a week of tension, it was time for the B&B owners to discover if they had done enough to secure the title.

However, as the results were revealed, the atmosphere grew increasingly tense. The final couple to learn their fate on the competitive show were Bridie and James, a married duo. Unlike the other three B&B owners in the competition, James and Bridie's Dulrush Fishing Lodge in County Fermanagh proved to be a hit.

Their guests seemed satisfied with their rooms and the services provided. However, one guest found an issue with her room, reports the Daily Star .

Bridie, a B&B owner and competitor, had one complaint and underpaid the hosts by £5 for her £120 per night room. Explaining the reason for the underpayment, Bridie revealed that it was due to her bathroom shower being somewhat leaky, causing water to spill onto the bathroom floor. After hearing the complaint, Bridie turned to her husband James and gave him a piece of her mind.

She snapped at him, telling him he had a lot of work to do when they got back home. Bridie remarked: "Now, you have to get your act together when we get back home and get those things seen to." James later conceded: "When I get home I think I might be in the doghouse for about three days!" Yet, despite some minor criticism from Bridie, her underpayment wasn't a barrier to their victory.

James received a telling off from his wife (Image: (Image: Channel 4)) Given the consensus among the other guest house owners that Dulrush Fishing Lodge offered great value, the couple triumphed in the competition. Following the episode, the show's fans took to X to express their enthusiasm for the series. A viewer wrote: "Catching up.
