Contestants clashed on this weekend's Four In A Bed. With re-run episodes airing on Channel 4 , it was Sunday's archived series that saw an explosive row erupt between owners Malaya, Phil and Maria. The show sees B&B operators battle it out to prove their establishment is the best value for money.

With each team visiting every team's B&B, it can often spark arguments when it comes to the feedback section, with some accusing others of 'game playing'. This weekend's show was no exception, with a brutal row after guests' stay at Malaya's venue in Blackpool. Guests Phil and Maria issued a scathing three-word review after their stay with Malaya, telling him of his B&B, "it needs closing".

They'd given Malaya a low rating and he was trying to find out why. "The taps on the sink, turn the tap, the tap follows you," Phil explained. The comment clearly didn't go down well as he sarcastically apologised for not being a five-star hotel.

"What do you think about the taps spinning round and the shower overflowing? Is that normal? Is that what you get with B&B these days?" Phil asked. "I think it needs more than improving. It needs closing," he said after Malaya admitted issues were being addressed.

Phil's brutal review didn't go down well with B&B owner Pete either, who after watching said: "That's out of order. To say that it needs closing is way over the line." After the explosive argument, Phil reduced his payment to Malaya by £25.

As a result, Malaya ended the episode in last place on Sunday. It comes after another Four In A Bed episode took an unexpected twist when a couple launched a savage attack on their rivals during the tense finale. The moment had arrived to determine which B&B would be crowned as the most valuable, comfortable and cost-effective retreat, as the final scores were revealed.

However, as each proprietor announced their ratings, the atmosphere turned icy. As the owners shared their thoughts on the results, many didn't hold back with their comments. B&B proprietors Wayne and Debra expressed their dissatisfaction with Gill and Peter's establishment, The Victory At Mersea, criticising the rooms for being outdated and not worth the asking price.

Wayne stated: "I feel like that room had been really left to die." But owner Peter saw things differently. In his candid response, he said: "When most people walk through the door, they go 'wow.

' And maybe from our point of view, we sort of thought the view pretty well makes up for everything else." Wayne and Debra chose to pay less than the asking price at The Victory At Mersea, deducting £30 from their room rate. The tension continued as other owners seemed to agree with Wayne's harsh critique.

B&B owners Melvyna and Sidney also opted to pay half price for their £100 room, leaving Peter and Gill feeling let down. Despite the best efforts from all those involved, it was Melvyn and Sidney's establishment that took the top spot.
