For many children at Team Fostering, the home life they’ve come from has meant they haven’t had the experiences needed to build some of the skills we all take for granted in our childhood. They might not have been able to do activities which encourage team work and social skills.

They might not have had opportunities to share their talents and be praised for their hard work. Attending school may have just become too much. That’s when becoming a foster carer with Team Fostering can change a child’s life.

Celebrating achievements At Team Fostering children are at our heart and when they achieve something – no matter what that is – we want to shout it from the rooftops. So every year we hold Celebration of Achievements and I was privileged this year to hand out certificates and awards to recognise anything and everything.

No achievement is too small – because to a small person, that something is everything. Getting out of bed can often feel like the hardest part of any day but once you take that first step, incredible things can happen. Along the journey it’s important to remember that achievements don’t have to b.
