With the release of the v31.20 update, Fortnite added a new limited-time game mode. The LTM is called Day of Doom and features a fight between heroes and villains.

The bad guys are led by Doctor Doom, who’s played a huge role in Chapter 5 – Season 4. While the mode is fun, it hasn’t been balanced, but Epic Games may have fixed this problem. Thanks to the latest update, the two sides are more balanced and should have an equal chance of winning.

However, the Fortnite developer will keep monitoring the situation and release more changes if necessary. The latest Fortnite update brought more balance changes Day of Doom has been one of the most popular modes in Fortnite over the past few days. The LTM has tens of thousands of concurrent players at any given time of the day, and its peak was 246,340 on the first day of its release.

Unfortunately, many players have pointed out that Doom’s team is much more powerful, which is something Epic fixed with the latest update. These are all the changes that were recently released: Heroes’ Max Shield increased from 100 to 200 Shield Regen Cap has been increased from 50 to 150 Mythic Shockwave cooldown increased from 7s to 12s Doom’s Lightning Ball cooldown increased from 8s to 12s Considering that the hero team has received massive buffs, while the villain team was nerfed, we expect the mode to be more balanced now. While achieving a 50% win rate for each side is nearly impossible, this update will get us closer to it.

Since the LTM will likely stay in the game until the end of Fortnite Season 4, we expect more changes over the next few weeks..
