The current Fortnite map will go through several changes by the end of Season 4. The next major update is scheduled for early September, and this is when we could see the first change. Interestingly, Epic Games revealed some of these changes in a gameplay trailer.

It turns out that the red tower at Castle Doom will look different later in the season. Considering that the next OG season will start after this one, we expect the map to go through big changes. The short trailer for the Fortnite Battle Royale mode shows Castle Doom and the tower in this area. The tower, located in the southern part of the POI, currently emits red smoke and can be used for glider redeployment, which is perfect for mobility. In the trailer, we can see Doctor Doom’s face above the tower.

At the moment, we don’t know exactly when this map change will be released. However, considering that Doctor Doom is a bonus skin of the current Fortnite Battle Pass , which is scheduled to come out in September, this is when we can expect the map to change as well. Furthermore, this may also be an introduction to a new event that will lead us into another OG season.
