Podcaster Jon Lovett, who worked as a speechwriter with former president Barack Obama , was the first person to get the boot during the season 47 premiere of Survivor , leaving fans with one final Donald Trump dig. Lovett was kicked off the island on Wednesday after the Gata tribe was defeated in the challenge and was forced to have the first tribal council of the season. Following his departure, Lovett commented on his short run on the show with a reference to former President Donald Trump 's controversial slogan that falsely claimed voter fraud during the 2020 election.

He wrote to X: "Stop the steal."
