Ryan Manton, four-time Jeopardy! champion, recently had a winning streak on the game show, earning about $86,000. Ryan won four games before his Jeopardy! run came to an end on Friday when he came in second place. Although the systems administrator for a nonprofit organization made performing on the game show look easy , the former trivia contestant recently admitted that playing on Jeopardy! was nothing like watching it on television.

"The shocking thing to me was just how quick everything goes," Ryan said in an interview. While the Jeopardy! episodes that included Ryan were aired last week, they actually had been filmed in June. Ryan’s road to getting behind the podium of Jeopardy! Involved loads of tests which began with the "Anytime" test. "They don't say what passing is, by the way," he explained.

"You don't get to know that at any point. You might get an email from them that says you passed the test." After taking the entry test, there is a proctored exam followed by a mock game of Jeopardy!, which is to help assess how well a person might perform on TV, according to Ryan.
