The Crazy Bear Group, which has hotels in Stadhampton and Beaconsfield, has been handed a notice of a final employment tribunal following dismissal complaints from a former assistant general manager, who has chosen to stay anonymous. He claims that he was unjustly fired from the Beaconsfield site with age discrimination being the basis of his claim against the hotel group. A spokesperson for the Crazy Bear Group responded by saying it “does not discriminate against any demographics or minorities”.

The employee has not disclosed how old he is with the Oxford Mail at this having been asked to confirm this. The hearing will take place on November 25 and 26 at the Watford Tribunal Hearing Centre in front of an employment judge and two non-legal members. Tribunal documents, shared with the Mail, said: “The hearing is to determine the claim and decide what compensation or other remedy should be awarded if the claim succeeds.

” A spokesperson for the Crazy Bear Group said: “The Crazy Bear Group continues to comply with UK employment law and to prioritise the well-being of colleagues. “We are aware of unsubstantiated comments being made regarding an internal matter and will not be commenting publicly on the details of the case as it is an ongoing process. “The company has a proud record of being a DE&I positive employer and does not discriminate against any demographics or minorities.

” The renovated pub in Stadhampton was the first of the Crazy Bear Group hotels which are known for having luxurious interior design.
