It Ends With Us has suffered another blow amid the behind-the-scenes drama as a former child star calls out Blake Lively for including music made by her abuser in the soundtrack. It Ends With Us has had a chaotic cinema release as Lively has been accused of downplaying the serious nature of the film and it has been reported that the director and male lead, Justin Baldoni, has fallen out with the rest of the cast. Amid this drama, producer Blake Lively is now facing new criticism for including music from a ‘known abuser’ in the movie’s soundtrack.

In a scathing message posted on social media , Alexa Nikolas, 32, who is best known for her role as Nicole on Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 has reached out to Lively who has spoken openly about having a hand in the soundtrack on the film, to bash her. ‘Not only has your rollout of this film been a complete disaster and shame, but you also put my known abuser/groomer’s music in your film.’ ‘There is physical evidence of him grooming me when he was 33 and I was 16,’ Nikolas continued.

She then named her ‘abuser’ as her ex-husband Michael Milosh known professionally as Rhye, whose song Hymn was included in the film. ‘It’s easily accessible on the internet sadly since I had to also take on the emotional labor of exposing Rhye with evidence. ‘[There] was also a very public lawsuit that goes into great detail about what he did to me.

Shame on this film.’ In a 2021 lawsuit, Nikolas accused her ex-husband of sexual assault and grooming her after revealing that they first began messaging on MySpace when she was 16 and he was 33. She claimed that he groomed her as a minor then ‘terrorized, sodomized, and abused’ her and assaulted her the first time they met when she was 18.

The actress alleged that she agreed to marry him in 2012 when she was 20 so the Canadian musician could obtain a green card. They divorced in 2016. In the lawsuit obtained by Pitchfork, it was claimed: ‘Milosh utilized his power of authority and seniority over [Nikolas], as well as years of sexual grooming of [Nikolas] as a minor child, to manipulate her into trusting him.

‘Upon gaining her trust, Defendant Milosh terrorized, sodomized, and abused [Nikolas] as a part of his continuous conduct aimed at satisfying his prurient and economic desires.’ Milosh then sued Nikolas for defamation, vehemently denying the claims. In a statement to Rolling Stone he said: ‘For as long as I can remember, I’ve always strongly supported women and their right to speak out and be heard.

‘That is why the false claims made by my former wife had been so hurtful and shocking to me ...

Like all marriages, we had our difficulties and attempted to weather them together as best we could. Ultimately, despite our best efforts, we agreed to divorce. ‘I loved her very much and we shared many special years before our marriage ended.

I have always wished her nothing but the best and continued to support her financially even after I was no longer required to under our divorce agreement.’ More Trending Blake Lively needs to apologise for repeatedly using this transphobic slur Blake Lively under fire again for resurfaced interviews containing offensive slur Inside Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' marriage of 'fireworks' Blake Lively's co-star furiously defends her over 'vilifying' It Ends With Us backlash He then suggested that Nikolas’s lawsuit was because of his lack of financial support: ‘Eventually, I stopped paying [and] in response, Alexa has resorted to character assassination.’ As the film continues to face criticism, Baldoni has revealed that he won’t be returning to direct a sequel, suggesting instead that Lively would be better suited to the role.

Castmembers have also addressed the controversy and defended Lively as she has been ‘villified’ because of the backlash. Metro.co.
