Vadodara: Atta Khan is a devoted foodie who enjoys indulging in his favorite non-vegetarian dishes. However, when Navratri arrives, he abstains from non-vegetarian food entirely. Instead, Khan observes a fast for all nine days, alongside his troupe of garba singers.

Khan, who is the lead singer of the group he founded a few years ago, is a beloved figure among garba enthusiasts. His performances attract large crowds each Navratri, as revellers flock to sway to his songs. "I'm fortunate to have had the opportunity to sing garbas during Navratri.

People always appreciated our group by attending in large numbers wherever we performed," Khan shared with TOI. A resident of Vadodara, Khan has performed at various garba venues in Rajkot for the past eight years. "This year too, our troupe performed at the Navnaat garba in Rajkot, and the venue was packed with revellers," the 40-year-old singer added.

Born into a family of artists, Khan developed a love for music at an early age. As a teenager, he started out by playing the Casio keyboard at garba venues.
