One football club has gone viral on X after a snap of one of its matchday food options was shared online. The dish caught the eye of fans across the country with some describing it as "elite" level despite its £12.99 cost.
Although Reading City FC play in the lowly Combined Counties League Premier Division North, it seems their menu is on par with teams much higher in the football pyramid. "Reading City FC sell this Chinese selection box for £12.99.
Looks unreal," penned the Football Away Days account (@fbawaydays) alongside a mouth-watering photo of the meal. The box features a curry, salt and pepper chicken strips, chicken nuggets and chips. "Looks better than what most Premier League clubs offer their fans," on person declared. Another wrote: "I’ve just booked my trip to Reading City next week." A third admitted: "I’d buy a season ticket just to get some of that.
" Whilst a fourth asked: "Why am I only learning about this now?" Football purists had their say too, however, with some insisting they'd much prefer traditional football match grub.
