Before the F-150, the Bronco and the Mustang, the American auto manufacturer Ford tried its hand at making aircraft. And while the 1929 Ford Tri-Motor plane may have never truly “taken off” as a luxury aircraft, adventure seekers and aviation enthusiasts have until Sunday to take a ride in one of only about five of the airworthy planes still around. “It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity,” said Jen Lowry, air tourist manager for the Experimental Aircraft Association.

“There’s not many of these flying around anymore so it’s pretty cool. The plane will be at the Joseph A. Hardy/Connellsville Airport through Sunday, with rides offered from 9 a.



m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets range from $75 to $99..
