Monday, August 19, 2024 Following an in-depth reassessment of Middle Eastern conditions, Swiss International Air Lines ( SWISS ) has announced the continuation of its flight halt to Tel Aviv and Beirut through 26 August. The airline has also decided to avoid the airspaces over Iran, Iraq, and Israel during this period to ensure the safety of its operations and passengers. We very much regret the inconvenience this may cause our passengers, but the safety of our passengers and crew always takes top priority.

Affected passengers will be contacted directly. Of course, we offer free rebooking to a later date or a full refund of the ticket price. We are continuing to monitor the situation in the Middle East.

Our specialists are evaluating all available information and are in constant contact with the relevant authorities in Switzerland and on site. Operating as Switzerland’s national carrier, SWISS connects over 100 global destinations from its main hubs in Zurich and Geneva. As a key member of the Lufthansa Group and the Star Alliance network, SWISS upholds high standards of safety and connectivity across its extensive flight network.
