Flight chaos as passenger sneaks dog into cabin without anyone realising for hours (Image: Reddit) A passenger sparked outrage after sneaking a dog into a cabin and keeping it in the footwell for an almost 20-hour flight to South Africa. The dog blocked the leg room of another traveller on a long-haul flight. The incident, which was shared on Reddit by the passenger's son, showed the photo sitting with his legs in front of him, while a large dog partially obstructs the allocated space in the footwell.

When I asked why he just sent me this." In an update to the post, the user, who goes by benjaminrogers91, clarified that he had exaggerated the time spent on the plane and how many alcoholic drinks his dad had consumed. I think the actual flight is 16 to 18," he wrote. In the comments, people debated whether or not the dog owner should have kept their pet more contained. One user wrote; "Some people have a real fear of dogs and/or animals in general.

This would have been a very stressful situation for me if I was the one forced to sit with the dog like this. "I've had flights where the person's dog was trying to jump in my lap the whole time. It's ridiculous.

Not everyone wants your dog in their tiny personal space. If you can't contain them, don't bring them." One person expressed their frustration, stating: "The entitlement is more than mildly infuriating.

I mean, they refused. They left the plane. I hope the airline refunded their flight, because I can't say I wouldn't have done the same.

" A third person declared: "There's no way I would let this fly. Either book two adjacent seats or fly in first class to have space. "Encroaching on someone else's space they paid for, AND contaminating their clothes/shoes/carry on is insane to me.

Ask a flight attendant to move, or have the owner hold [their] pet."
