RTE star Roz Purcell has embraced her "very pale skin" at a red carpet event. The 2FM host attended the An Post Irish Book Awards last night in the Convention Centre, Dublin . First awarded in 2006, the event celebrates and promote Irish writing to the widest range of readers possible.
A one-hour television special, hosted by Oliver Callan, will be broadcast on RTE One on December 19, which will reveal this year’s ‘An Post Irish Book of the Year 2024’. Roz stepped out on the green carpet wearing a chocolate brown sequin maxi dress with a plunging neckline and a cut out at the front of the gown. The fabulous frock is from Drobey and it can be rented for €250.
The original retail price is €1,750. The 34-year-old wore a pair of black pointed toe heels and carried a silver bag around. The radio star recently made the decision to embrace her natural skin more and therefore didn't wear any false tan for the glam event.
Roz explained her reasons why saying: "I've been wearing fake tan since I was 13. I feel like I've become really reliant on it to feel confident. "Because I've pretty much never gone anywhere without fake tan, I had to go out and buy a new foundation.
"I'm just trying to embrace my naturally very, very pale skin a little bit this winter." Roz posed for some stunning snaps and shared them on Instagram last night. And the author's friends and fans all raced to the comment section with glowing compliments.
